The 82 Division of the Nigerian Army in Enugu will conduct its first range classification exercise from June 19-22. The exercise will take place at the Army training area in Udi LGA.

Enugu State Army
Lieutenant Colonel Jonah Unuakhalu, the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, issued a statement to newsmen in Enugu regarding the exercise. He emphasized that it would involve the use of arms and live ammunition.

Civilians, especially residents of Ogbede, Ukehe, Umoka, Affa, Ochima, and Onyohor communities, are urged to stay away from areas around the Small Arms Shooting Range. This is to avoid any panic due to the heavy movement of troops and equipment.
The exercise aims to enhance the shooting skills of officers and soldiers in the Division. It will also assess the functionality of weapons not currently deployed in operations.
Individuals in the mentioned areas and surrounding communities are advised to refrain from entering the range area during the exercise.
